fun
unlike real life, in GW, One "CAN" have enough money
And I pvp more then pve
with out purpose the so call gold and plat are nothing but numbers.

However, if a person realy believe in capitalism....making money might be what is fun for them, or their calling of the life time

First for profit, because everyone wants to buy the items for a lot, and I gladly oblige them Then when prices go down, I get what I want out of it, and enjoy every minute.

It's for fun and collectibles for me...for hubby it's for profit XD. We each got 2mini-pigs and he's selling both of his. I'm keeping both of mine because I think they're so cute.

I did also have some profit, as someone was trading good gold for sugary drinks in bulk, which I had.

Oh, and getting tons of XP for the festival related quests helped my new monk quite a bit! I <3 the festivals...thank you Anet!

For fun. But the event as a whole wasn't very fun for me, so I dunno.

Profit and fun for me. I enjoy all the quests, mini games, and stuff like that, but I also sell the collectable drops from the events.

Fun. I love partying all night in Shing Jea and popping off firecrackers. This event, I made hardly any profit, but a ton of bottle rockets! Can't wait to set those babies off on July 4th :-D and some sparklers to dance under on my B-day!

Gotta be honest: as soon as it was apparent that all the material farming was district-wide but not for the individual character, I sold all of them that I farmed. I felt cheated, and then I got 75k out of sales.

Communication is getting worse and worse, and this could have been handled much better.

For me it is for fun-sure there may be others that do it just for profit. I'm not one of them though. I'm not very rich nor have I ever been. There are others who have enough gold and and still want to make more and get more-everyone is different i guess...In my opnion I would rather play a game for fun over lots of money and good armor+weapons.

I thought it was pretty funny to see a few people that were district hopping, asking: "Does this district have all the ingredients? :P. Leeching, the bane of hard work and enjoyment...

I did it for 100% enjoyment... didn't buy/sell a single thing from any individual.

For fun, but I see nothing wrong with making gold as well.

By the time the most recent Halloween event had rolled around I'd saved up in excess of 100 decayed orr emblems, which earned me a bit when I stood around in LA offering to sell 5 each for 300g or something.

Similarly the lack of dust in this Canthan event. Materials was buying for 150, selling (when it was in stock) for 250. So I stood around offering to sell 10 per 200g.

Also sold my first pig for 10k, since I was fairly sure I'd be getting at least one more before the night was over...

well, during the event, its all about fun.
after it, what can i do with my 88 tonics instead of selling them? so its for fun during the event and after it, show-off with fire works and selling stuff (and ofcourse, adding stuff to my collection, i got stuff from every event there ever was xD)

I spend my time last week looking for ingrediants and Bettle racing. The ingrediant hunt make me wonder around Tyria and found some nice place I havnt been there before.
I dont really selling anything that involed in the event. I was only temped with 30 K for a set of ingredaint.

Special events always start out as fun for me, but after looking at my bloated inventory, profit rears its ugly head.

I started the event planning on just having fun. And stayed that way through most of it until I logged on my warrior and "found" the stash of booze he'd been holding. Yeah, I sold it. The entire stash. *shrugs*

But I used up a lot of fireworks and snowman summoners. And gave away a few tonics. I had more "fun" than "sell".

This event is better than the dragon festival from last years. We got the rollerbeetle racing, we got new quests to get the tokens. There is fortune teller and we got a new mini pet pig. Good job A-Net.
